Ph.D. Applicants

We will be looking to accept one or two Ph.D. student for 2024 Fall. Note: In the application system, select Purdue West Lafayette (PWL) campus and Technology as the proposed graduate major for Ph.D. degree.

Interview with Liang:

Q: What expectations do you have for the students in your group?
A: In my group, I expect students to be self-motivated, active in critical thinking, creative, and dedicated. Also, they should be fearless in picking up new skills and independent enough to address research problems. I will be very proud if they figure out the next goal they want to pursue after working with me. Students can succeed in various ways, and they should have the courage to pursue what they feel is right as human beings. In that sense, I have my expectations for academic performance, but I also acknowledge how diverse personalities can be.
